IFP is taking part in Pollutec 2009, an annual international event on sustainable development

A key player in the fields of energy, transport, and the environment, IFP develops new technologies which are more efficient, more economical, and more environmentally-friendly.
 
At its stand, IFP will present the various activities it is running to ensure smooth energy transition:

• developing clean, fuel-efficient vehicules
   
• diversifying fuel sources
   
• capturing and storing CO₂ to combat the greenhouse effect.

You will also have the opportunity to discover the Smart-based natural gas hybrid prototype developed by IFP in partnership with GDF Suez, Valeo, INRETS (Institut National de Recherche sur les Transports et leur Sécurité - French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research) and ADEME (Agence de l'Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l'Energie - French Environment and Energy Management Agency). Hybrid vehicles represent one of the most efficient technological solutions for reducing vehicle fuel consumption and form part of IFP’s research priorities.
