IFP's teams also use specific methods and equipment for their after-treatment work:

synthetic gas units: catalyst testing laboratory,
X-ray scanner,
scanning electron microscope,
transmission electron microscopy (TEM and STEM),
elemental microanalysis by electron probe (Castaing microprobe),

physico-chemical characterizations: physisorption, particle size distribution, mercury porosimetry, chemisorption, ultimate analyses, X-ray diffraction.
