IFP has just launched its new website. As the leading information platform in terms of audience, IFP’s website, which first went online in July 2003, needed to be updated to encompass the major developments in the energy world over recent years: growth in demand, increasingly scarce resources and climate change.
In this context, IFP has hinged its new strategy upon 5 priorities, forming the backbone of its research programs: capturing and storing CO2 to combat the greenhouse effect (Controlled CO2 section), diversifying fuel resources (diversified fuels section), developing clean, fuel-efficient vehicles (fuel-efficient vehicles section), converting as much raw material as possible into transport energy (clean refining section) and pushing back the boundaries in the fields of oil and gas exploration and production (extended reserves section). These 5 priorities lie at the heart of the new site, along with a presentation of its resources (expertise section) and its line of services (industrial development section).
A major French, European and global research player, IFP has created a new section on its website devoted to "Our commitment to research", which focuses on its scientific policy and the joint projects it is involved in (competitiveness clusters, ANR projects, European programs, etc.).
The new www.ifp.fr site gives greater prominence to the Discovery zone (espace Découverte - in French), designed to make the energy transition and associated issues accessible to the general public. The English version of the site can also be accessed directly via www.ifp.com.
The site also features browsing options based on various user profiles (industrial players, public authorities and academic circles) and offers direct access to sections devoted to specific areas (suppliers, recruitment). Furthermore, a new tool is available to web users who can subscribe to an RSS feed of IFP news.
Finally, the new site is an opportunity to roll out IFP’s new graphics charter, especially its “Innover les energies” (“Innovating for energy”) tagline.
IFP is a public research and training body with internationally renowned expertise, dedicated to developing the transport energies of the 21st century. It provides public players and industry with innovative solutions for a smooth transition to the energies and materials of tomorrow – more efficient, more economical, cleaner and sustainable.
