ALDES - Air purification

 

This system recovers the solid and liquid particulates in a gas using the turbulence effect (Turbulent Flow Precipitator). It is intended for dust removal from the air entering a room, and can be adapted to quite varied spaces: housing, offices, etc.
 
The ZEFIRA turbulence filter traps external pollution (pollen, dust, soot, microbial flora) with a constant loss of head (no clogging) and low maintenance.

AlyXan - Compact, transportable FT-ICR mass spectrometers

 

B-TRAP is a line of simple-to-use mass spectrometers for maximum performance at minimum cost:

FT-ICR spectrometers are based on permanent magnets. The very high resolution of this technique makes it possible to determine the exact masses of the molecules. The use of gentle ionization methods facilitates identification and allows quantification of the compounds by avoiding their fragmentation.

Fixed and mobile units that can treat from 50 to 100m3 of pig manure a day

 

The Smelox process deodorizes and sterilizes pig manure and lowers its nitrogen and phosphorus contents, allowing it to be spread without harm to the environment.
 
It includes the following steps:
- mechanical separation of solid matter to eliminate the bulk of the phosphorus,
- catalytic oxidation of mercaptans and stripping of ammonia,
- catalytic post-combustion of the gaseous effluents.
Following several months of a demonstration operation, the process has been approved by the Agence de l'Eau. Three units are under construction.

The process separates a mixture of 2 molecules (or 2 groups of molecules) using 2 solvents that cannot mix.
Armen achieved the continuous operation of this technology hile ensuring very high purity and minimizing operating costs.

COVALTECH - Recovery of gasoline vapors

The OPTIMGAZ process allows the recondensation of hydrocarbon vapors given off during filling operations (gasoline storage tanks) and deliveries (fuels at the pump). It prevents diffuse emissions in the atmosphere while it saves money.
 
IFP provided support for the intellectual property protection of this innovation and for its technical development.
 
The OPTIMGAZ concept is based on heat exchangers and compressors. They are equipped with a data transmission system specific to the process (GPRS, internet, etc.) to optimize the operation of the machine.

This volume and weight calculator measures the flow rates and volumes of liquid and gaseous fluids; it complies with current standards and regulations.

This calculator, approved for commercial transactions, can, in addition to its flow rate and volume measurement capabilities, calculate other quantities applicable to:
- the loading-unloading of tank trucks and cars or ships,
- metering on pipelines,
- the management of dynamic volume standards.

The calculator provides measurement correction and conversion, alarm, and secure data storage functions.

Finally, it provides the possibility of interacting using a keyboard and display unit, or a PC, and of printing reports of the quantities measured, the alarms identified, or particular incidents.

Nucleos process - Treatment of liquid discharges by accelerated natural evaporation

Treatment of leachates on CET (Waste Disposal Site) with recovery of the biogas.

This equipment evaporates water to concentrate a liquid discharge in a storage basin to a residue occupying about one percent of its initial volume, depending on the type of effluent.
The basic concept is to have the effluent trickle over a honeycomb support on which it is in contact with air from a blower. The treated effluent is permanently recycled to the storage basin.
 
The process can be used for example on leachates from household-waste landfills.

3D decoration by sublimation

The process can be used to decorate objects that are otherwise difficult for one reason or another:
- complex shapes (for example a surface that cannot be laid flat)
- a material that is difficult to decorate (polypropylene, Delrin, etc.),
- and also objects made of more conventional materials such as metals, wood, and technical plastics.
 
The basic concept is the transfer by sublimation of a food-grade coloring agent from a support applied against the object to be decorated. The process therefore uses no solvent and discharges no pollutants. The support used to apply the decorating ink can itself be recycled, so the process is clean and produces no wastes.
The parts to be decorated and the ink support are placed between two membranes and heated very briefly to activate the sublimation process. The furnace can handle large numbers of objects; the throughput, depending on the size of the objects, can reach several thousands per hour.
No pre-treatment or post-treatment is needed.

Polynem - Immem

IMMEM treats urban sewage by BRM (Membrane Bioreactor)-Ultrafiltration on hollow-fiber membranes outside the bioreactor. Capacities range from 10 to 10,000 inhabitants. The treated water is disinfected, its COD is reduced by 98%, and all suspended matter is eliminated.
 
Coupling ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis makes it possible to desalinate seawater, and also to treat brackish water containing suspended matter.
