18th European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering

The ESCAPE (European Symposium on Computer Aided Process Engineering) series presents the latest innovations and achievements of leading professionals from the industrial and academic communities. The series serves as a forum for engineers, scientists, researchers, managers and students from academia and industry to present and discuss progress being made in the area of CAPE. CAPE refers to computer aided methods, algorithms and techniques related to process and product engineering.

Further to the call for papers around 350 papers have been selected by the scientific committee for either oral or poster presentations in line with the topics of the conference:

• Off-line systems
• On-line systems
• Computational and numerical solutions strategies
• Integrated and multiscale modelling and simulation
• CAPE for the users!
• CAPE and society
• CAPE in education

Around 360 participants attended the ESCAPE-18 rich programme of guest speeches and keynote talks from leaders in science and industry.

Luis Puigjaner (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Espagne) received the Lifetime Achievement Award and Harvey Arellano-Garcia (Technische Universität berlin, Allemagne) the PhD Thesis Award.

New!

The call for extended versions of papers (oral or poster) presented during ESCAPE-18, to be published in a special issue of "Computers and Chemicals Engineering", is open. The authors should indicate to Bertrand Braunschweig or Xavier Joulia their intention to submit an extended version, by mail before June 20th.
