IFP Appointments

Dominique Humeau has been appointed Director of the Process Experiments Research Division.
Luc Nougier has been appointed Director of the Process Modeling and Design Research Division.

Dominique Humeau, 45, Ph.D degree in dynamical control systems from the University of Rennes I. After working in the field of industrial process control and optimization with Yokogawa France, he joined IFP's Technology Division in 1996 to work in the field of the advanced control of refining units. In 2000, he was appointed head of the Signal Processing, Automation and Control Department within the Technology, Computer Science and Applied Mathematics Division before being appointed Head of the Experiments Department in 2007.

Luc Nougier, 42, graduated from the École supérieure de Chimie Physique Electronique de Lyon (CPE Lyon) as an engineer. He joined IFP in 1989 as a researcher in the field of thermal engineering within the Energy Applications Techniques Division. There he worked on combustion processes and the FCC (Fluid Catalytic Cracking) process. He joined the Process Engineering Division at IFP Lyon in 1998, and became steam-cracking project manager in 1999, then hydrogen generation project manager. In 2002, he was appointed Head of the Thermal Engineering Department, then Head of the Chemical Engineering Department. Since the beginning of 2006, he had been Head of the Process Engineering Department.
