Les Rencontres Scientifiques de l'IFP: "New Trends on Engine Control, Simulation and Modelling" 2 and 3 October 2006, IFP, Rueil-Malmaison

28 February 2006

In its "Rencontres Scientifiques" series, IFP is organized an international conference on New Trends on Engine Control, Simulation and Modelling, to be held on 2-3 october 2006 at Rueil-Malmaison, near Paris.

This conference will deal with the following topics:

  • System modelling (engine and powertrain) in the control design process – from the reference model simulation to the hardware in the loop simulation.

  • Model-based approach for control of new-generation CI engines (HCCI & LTC) – its huge impact, from airpath control (high EGR rate) to the closed-loop combustion concept (due to the higher sensitivity of LTC).

  • Model-based control for new-generation SI engines – control for highly downsized engines, GDI closed-loop combustion control, VVA and VCR engines.

  • Modelling, optimization and control for hybrid vehicles – energy management, optimal control, torque control.

IFP is a research and industrial development, training, and information services center active in hydrocarbons (oil and gas), their uses - in particular by vehicles -, and new energy and environmental technologies (production of fuels from biomass, biofuels, hydrogen, capture and storage of CO2, etc.).
