IFP Appointment

Patrick Sarrazin has been appointed Director of IFP's Refining-Petrochemicals Technology Business Unit, replacing Raymond Szymanski who has been allocated other duties.

Patrick Sarrazin, 42 years old, is an engineering graduate of the École des Hautes études industrielles (School of Higher Industrial Studies) and the IFP School (ENSPM) and holds a Ph.D awarded by the Université des Sciences et Techniques de Lille Flandres-Artois (University of Science and Technology).
He joined IFP in 1988 as a research engineer within the Kinetics and Catalysis Division before becoming Olefins Purification Project Manager. In 1994, he joined Procatalyse, an IFP subsidiary, as Catalyst Technical Manager within the Technical Division, then Marketing-Sales Support Manager in 1999. In 2001, he joined PSA Peugeot-Citroën as Gasoline and Diesel Post-Treatment Manager.
Since 2002, Patrick Sarrazin has been Product Line Manager at Axens (an IFP subsidiary resulting from the 2001 merger of Procatalyse and IFP's Industrial Division).
