Yves Boscher
Director of Human Resources

" Today, IFP is developing the technologies needed to optimize the use of oil and gas, while simultaneously developing new solutions designed to ensure a smooth energy transition. To successfully achieve this, IFP can count on its staff, which boasts a high level of skills and a tried and tested creative potential.

Hence, with more than 50 areas of expertise, both scientific and technical, IFP is active in a broad spectrum of fields: in the “upstream” sector (exploration and production), the “downstream” sector (refining, petrochemicals and gas treatment) and engines (fuels, combustion and post-treatment). New energy technologies –biofuels, H2, CO2– are incorporated into these programs.

Working at IFP means developing a very high level of expertise in cutting-edge technological fields, within multidisciplinary teams. This expertise is further enhanced by constant contact with IFP’s scientific, technical and industrial partners, working within an international environment.

To address the challenges of tomorrow, IFP recruits engineers and technicians enthusiastic about applied research, primarily in its areas of expertise. IFP also welcomes doctoral researchers, post-doctoral researchers and a large number of placement students into its ranks every year.

An active skills-development policy equips everyone working at IFP to rise to the technological and organizational challenges that they encounter in their working career. IFP invests heavily in training. Job mobility also provides staff with opportunities to grow in their area of expertise, enhance their adaptability and help shape their own future.

In addition, firmly convinced that diversity is a valuable asset and a source of social cohesion, IFP has been committed to a proactive policy to integrate disabled staff and young people experiencing difficulties for a number of years. "
