Appointment at IFP

Jean-Pierre Burzynski has been appointed Director of the Refining-Petrochemicals Technology Business Unit. He takes over from Patrick Sarrazin who has been assigned to other functions.

Jean-Pierre Burzynski, 52, graduated as an engineer from the École Centrale de Lyon and holds a post-graduate research degree (DEA) in fluid mechanics.
After starting off his career at Air Liquide, he joined IFP in 1986 working in the Process Engineering Division as R&D Project Manager, then Department Head and then Director from 1999.
In 2004 he became Deputy Director of the Refining-Petrochemicals Technology Business Unit.
