Our scientific communication policy
Articles, seminars and reference books are three of the channels that IFP uses to circulate research findings through a proactive scientific-communication policy.
A high-profile presence in the scientific community
Articles in scientific magazines
IFP researchers publish more than 200 scientific articles a year (including 150 in peer-reviewed international journals). These publications are indexed in the Thomson ISI databases.
Several IFP researchers likewise sit on leading international publications’ peer-review committees.

International seminars
IFP researchers are also involved in international seminars (as scientific- committee members, guest speakers and moderators) and active in the various scientific societies dealing with IFP’s fields of endeavor.
They address international audiences at world-class gatherings about 300 times a year.
IFP likewise works with trade and research bodies organizing international scientific conferences.

Contributions to reference books
Renowned publishers ask IFP experts to contribute to their works of reference on a regular basis.
IFP publications
Besides taking part in the scientific community’s events, IFP releases its own publications, enabling its teams to share their scientific findings, and thereby contribute to the scientific community’s debate, directly.
Oil & Gas Science and Technology journal
IFP publishes this international scientific magazine. It encompasses every scientific field in the oil and gas chain, and in the energy sector in general. It likewise promotes sustainable-development concepts.
This two-monthly peer-reviewed publication is indexed in the major international databases, and includes themed reports and summary articles.
The IFP website has provided unlimited, free-of-charge access to this journal’s full content for several years now.

IFP International Conferences
These gatherings attract large international audiences – and enjoy handsome success. Some 150 to 200 academic or industry researchers attend these conferences – which take place once or twice a year and deal with different issues every time – to discuss their work and experience.
A special edition of IFP’s Oil & Gas Science and Technology journal publishes a selection of papers from the International Conferences.
Scientific reference books
IFP also contributes to the dissemination of scientific knowledge by publishing reference books on fields in which it has established its scientific expertise.
