Heurtey Petrochem is the world's leading specialized engineering company supplying process fired heaters for refining, petrochemicals and hydrogen production. Its expertise extends from feasibility studies to turnkey project execution. Since its inception, Heurtey Petrochem has produced more than 2000 fired heaters, cracking furnaces and reformers and has gained a worldwide reputation. Present in all the main markets, with a head office in Paris and subsidiaries in London, Bucharest, Hamburg, Johannesburg, Mumbai and Singapore, and supported by a solid customer base including the biggest oil companies.

Highlights of 2009

In an unfavorable market context, Heurtey Petrochem achieved some significant commercial successes in 2009. Two contracts, worth a total of €56 million, were signed in South Korea with Hyundai Oil Bank and S-Oil Corporation, relating to the turnkey delivery of a hydrogen furnace and five refining furnaces. A framework contract worth €60 million was signed with a North African company to design and supply the ten process furnaces required for a new refinery currently under construction. Heurtey Petrochem signed a €45 million contract relating to the delivery of two pyrolysis furnaces for a European petrochemicals unit. Finally, the company secured two contracts worth €79 million with Naphta Industrial Serbia (a subsidiary of Gazpromneft) for the turnkey delivery of two refining furnaces for the new heavy oil treatment unit and – a first for the group – a complete hydrogen production unit using a Haldor Topsoe process.
