The 3 E fund was set up to finance the development of companies whose innovations help to reduce the impact of human activities on the environment and/or ensure lasting and reliable access to inexpensive energy.
The fund, managed by Emertec Gestion, acquires minority participations in start-ups, mostly French, with high growth potential.
Highlights of 2006
The fund acquired four participations in 2006, and now has six companies in its portfolio. The operations were in quite varied sectors: a software suite for better energy management in office and industrial buildings (Wirecom Technologies), an electrochemical process to extract and recycle metals contained in aqueous effluents (Elsametal), electric micro-boilers with cyclone exchanger and innovative regulation (Prime Technology), a clean and economical decontamination process using pulsed light.
